Nova Scotia aims to beat World Record

On February 10th 2011 at 1:00pm (weather permitting), Nova Scotia students, parents, workplaces, community groups, teachers and everyone else who can gather a minimum of 25 people, will be invited to take on the challenge of beating the Guinness World Record for the most snow angels made simultaneously in multiple locations.

The current record of: 15, 851 snow angels, was made on February 2, 2004 at 2 p.m. by 60 schools in the London District Catholic School Board, Ontario. With the number of schools, children and universities in the province, this is a very attainable goal.

If you want to be a part of this amazing event please contact us at Recreation Nova Scotia (902) 425-1128 or info@recreationns.ns.ca. We’ll need a leader identified for your location and an estimated number of participants.

Recreation Nova Scotia will provide you with a kit prior to the event with everything you need to be a part of this exciting record-breaking attempt!
